And, as always, we’ll have fun music provided by our own Farmers Market Jammers! Bring your instrument and/or your singing voice and join in.

SPECIAL REQUEST:
The Buck-a-Book Trailer is still in need of used children’s books. Please consider clearing off your bookshelves and donating books for the kids! Thanks a heap!

OUR VENDOR OF THE WEEK: Jill Morgan will be our featured vendor this week. She makes lovely jewelry. If you are visiting her booth when the timer rings, you’ll get a coupon!

REPORT FROM LAST WEEK’S MARKET: It was cloudy and slightly warm last week at the Market. We had 48 vendors, 11 volunteers, and a constant flow of customers. At 9:00, we had 107 visitors, at 10:00, we had 148 visitors and at 11:00, we had 142 visitors. We registered 5 brand new vendors. We had visitors from Illinois, Kentucky and all parts of Indiana, many of whom saw all of the activity as they were passing through and stopped to see what all of the bustle was about. Don Smelser and Harold Stout entertained us with good old jazz and big band standard tunes. They were later joined by a tent load of our Farmers Market Jammers. The Tri County Antique Farm Association Tractors came rolling in to add to the festive atmosphere. We loved having their cool tractors lining the street for visitors to see and hope they will return later in the season. The Red Cross sent us a final count of the blood they collected at the farmers market blood drive. They had 20 presenting donors and collected 17 pints! They plan to have another blood drive at the Market on September 1st, so mark your calendars!

OTHER GREAT FEATURES AT THE MARKET: Be sure to stop by and see our new BUCK A BOOK/BOOK A BOOK TRAILOR where you browse a great selection of books. We welcome the donations of books for the book trailer. All money from book sales goes to support Orange County HomeGrown Farmers Market. Just bring the books to the BUCK A BOOK/BOOK A BOOK TRAILOR and choose a book for free. Visit us at the Host Tent and have a free cup of coffee courtesy of our neighbor, Maple Street Restaurant. We are fortunate to have friendly, helpful MASTER GARDENERS at every market. Bring your gardening questions to the MASTER GARDENER TABLE and they will be very happy to help you! Our master gardeners will have for reference a water garden book at their table for those wishing guidance with their water gardens. Learn more about the LOST RIVER COMMUNTIY CO-OP which will be opening a new grocery store in Paoli this fall. You’ll be able to get a sneak preview of what the store will look like plus its floor plan. You can even sign up to be a member!
